Job Opening – Veterinary Technician – Assistant

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team. Our quickly growing, privately owned veterinary practice is located in Provincetown, MA. It has a focus on integrative care and is a community based veterinary hospital with a caring and trained team. We focus on the human animal bond between pets and their owners.

The ideal candidate will preferably have 4+ years of veterinary medicine experience (relevant animal related experience considered) who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented with a focus on excellence, great energy and a passion for working with pets and people.

Here are some things you will be providing for our community:

Building relationships with both new and established clientele and helping them to guide their pet’s through every stage of life.
Providing technical assistance to Clients, Patients, and Doctors during examinations and procedures.
Share every day with a fun and caring group of people who are dedicated to their profession and each other.

Requirements:

4+ years of Veterinary Technician experience strongly preferred.
Prior experience in a small animal hospital setting or relevant experience will be considered
Knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, radiology, pharmaceuticals strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence
Comfortable working with animals of all sizes
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Proven work experience as a team player
Ability to multitask and move with accuracy in a fast paced environment
Excellent computer skills and be comfortable with veterinary-specific software and technology. (Training provided)
Must be available some evenings
